新一代海洋水色观测卫星波斯湾局部遥感影像

 

封面图片为中国新一代海洋水色观测卫星中分辨率可编程成像光谱仪2024年3月12日获取的波斯湾局部遥感影像图。图像清晰展现了滨海湿地、河口以及近海不同程度浑浊水体的纹理和色彩,其数据可用于提取海洋水体水色与光学信息,还可用于滨海湿地生态系统的监测。新一代海洋水色观测卫星于2023年11月16日发射,其主载荷包括第二代水色水温扫描仪、第二代海岸成像仪和中分辨率可编程成像光谱仪。中分辨率可编程成像光谱仪可工作于多光谱或高光谱成像模式,波段范围覆盖紫外、可见光、近红外和短波红外,多光谱波段数共计19个,空间分辨率100 m,幅宽1000 km,是当前最先进的海洋水色观测载荷之一。新一代海洋水色观测卫星将大幅提升中国对全球海洋水色和海岸带环境信息的观测能力。

 

Remote sensing image covering a local region of the Persian Gulf by the China’s new-generation ocean color observation satellite

 

The cover image shows the local remote sensing image of the Persian Gulf acquired by the Programmable Medium-Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (PMRIS) on the China’s new-generation ocean color observation satellite on March 12, 2024. The image clearly shows the texture and color of the coastal wetlands, estuaries, and different turbid water bodies in the nearshore. The data can be used to extract water color and optical information of the ocean water, as well as for monitoring the coastal wetland ecosystem. The satellite was launched on November 16, 2023. Its main payloads include a second-generation Chinese ocean color and temperature scanner, a second-generation Coastal Zone Imager, and a PMRIS. The PMRIS can operate in either multispectral or hyperspectral imaging modes. Its band range covers ultraviolet, visible, near-infrared, and shortwave infrared. The resulting image has a total of 19 multispectral bands, with a spatial resolution of 100 m and a width of 1000 km. The PMRIS is currently one of the most advanced ocean color observation payloads. The new-generation ocean color observation satellite will significantly enhance China’s observation capabilities for global ocean color and coastal environmental information.
